Dora Brown Wolford, 89, of Lufkin, was born Aug. 4, 1918, in Falls County, Texas, the daughter of the late Dora (Davis) and David Brown). She passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, in a local hospital.
Graveside services for Mrs. Wolford were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park, with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating.
Mrs. Wolford was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, as well as a wonderful homemaker. She always took pride in her grandson's appearance, and loved the yellow Peace Rose. Survivors include her daughter, Joan Wolford of Lufkin; grandson, Luke Williamson and wife Kristin of San Antonio; great-granddaughters, Kelsey Triesch, Anslee Williamson and Morgan Williamson; nephew, James Allee and wife Opal of Lufkin; niece, Darnell Reedy and husband Joe of Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Wolford was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Hugh E. Wolford; and grandson, Steven Williamson.
