Susie Vera DeLaFosse

Funeral services for Susie Vera DeLaFosse, 93, of Hudson were Friday, December 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway- Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Lewis offici- ating. Committal services were at noon in the Chita Cemetery in Trinity County.

Mrs. DeLaFosse was born October 29, 1914 in Trinity County, Texas to the late Arrittia ('Clark) and John A. Baker, and died Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in a local hospital.

Formerly of Groveton, Mrs. DeLaFosse had resided in Hudson for most of her life. She was a retired nurse, having worked for Memorial Medical Center and Dr. C.W. Evans. She enjoyed cooking and her work in helping people. Mrs. DeLaFosse was a member of the Providence Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughtersin law, Charles and Linda De- LaFosse of Hudson and Phil and Annette DeLaFosse of Woodlake; grandchildren and spouses, Brad DeLaFosse, fiancée Michelle Lightsey, and her daughters Megan and Ashley, Jay and Emily DeLaFosse, Amanda and Warner Camp, Carrie and Blake Dykes and Tonia and Edmond Pun/is; greatgrandchildren, Chance De- LaFosse, Luccasee DeLaFosse, Walker Camp, Phillip Dykes and Amber Purvis; great-greatgranddaughter, Katlin; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.C. DeLaFosse; three brothers; and nine sisters. Pallbearers will be Jay DeLaFosse. Brad DeLaFosse, Andy Jarvis, Ronnie Hunt, Warner Camp and Blake Dykes.
