James Tad Wheeler, Sr. James Tad Wheeler, Sr., 45, of Wakefield, was born October 31, 1962, in Lufkin, Texas, and passed away Saturday, December 8, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Wheeler was a retired truck driver, and had been employed with Celadon in Canada and the USA. He had been a resident of Diboll and Angelina County all of his life, and graduated from Diboll High School. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include his parents, Betty and Jessie Wheeler of Wakefield; son James Tad Wheeler, Jr. of Diboll; grandson James Chandler Wheeler of Huntington; grandmother Claudie G. Wheeler of Diboll; aunt Carolyn Wheeler Harrison of Wakefield; uncles Monte Wheeler of Diboll and Jimmy Ryan of Bryan; cousins, Stephen Harrison and his family of Amarillo, Bethany Connelly and her family of Amarillo, Stephanie Reeder and her family of Amarillo, Patrick Wheeler of Diboll, Cohn Wheeler of North Carolina, and Andrew Wheeler of Houston. Mr. Wheeler was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jess Wheeler; and cousin, Timothy Harrison. Pallbearers will be Cody Gonzales, Ricky Reeder, Jose Jimenez, Lynn Shirley, Monte Wheeler and Jeremy Havard. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Laulaghian, Jimmy Ryan and Robby Franks. Services for Mr. Wheeler will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Gary York officiating. Interment will follow in the Wheeler Cemetery in Wakefield. |
