Billy Joe Dunaway Cannon ("Blue Diamond")
Celebration of life: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Hillcrest Christian Church, 509 S. Graves, McKinney, TX, with Chaplain John Cocoris officiating. Visitation: 7-9 p.m. Monday at the church. Billy was born and raised in Crossville, TN and went on to serve in the United States Army. Upon completion of his time in the service, he moved to Texas. Billy and his family resided in the Lufkin area for the majority of his life, where he enjoyed a career in the trucking industry for over 40 years. At retirement, Billy enjoyed his days helping his son on his horse ranch in Gordonville. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and his sisters, Emma Wyatt Griggs and Sally Wyatt. Survivors: Wife of 27 years, Sara Cannon; sons, Danny Cannon of Gordonville; Thomas Redd, Jr. and wife Martha, of Lindale; James Walker of Jacksonville; daughters, Lisa Smith and husband Matt, of' Fort Worth; Kathy Walker of Lufkin; sisters, Katie Studer and husband Pat, of Crossville, TN; Brenda Beaty of Frostproof, FL; Alecia Dille of Crossville, TN; Sonya Patton of Delangia, GA; Rose Collins of Rosenberg; brothers, David Wyatt and wife Linda, of Livingston; J3ohhy Wyatt of Crossville, TN; William Wyatt and wife Judy, of Crossville, TN; Donald Wyatt of Crossville, TN; Jimmy Dunaway of Crossville, TN; Danny Dunaway of Crossville, TN; Terry Dunaway of Crossville, TN; Sewell Dunaway of Crossville, TN; grandchildren, Ashton and \very Redd; and a host of other relatives and friends. |
