Robert Glenn Truett Funeral services for Robert Glenn Truett, 73, of Huntington will be held Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in the Carroway- Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery. Mr. Truett was born September 24, 1934 in Huntington, Texas to the late Myrtle (Brown) and Robert Vivian Truett, and died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Truett had resided in Huntington most of his life and was a member of the Highway Baptist Church. Mr. Truett served in the U.S. Army and was a retired truck driver, having worked for both Southwest Color and Brookshire Brothers. Mr. Truett loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and was an avid fan and supporter of the Huntington Devilettes. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty (Grissett) Truett of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Jay Brandenburg of Huntington; son arid daughter-in-law, Steve and Lisa Truett of Waco; son. Robert Truett and Cecilia Ojeda of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Morgan and husband Wade Fitzgerald, John Cole Brandenburg, Mallory Brandenburg, Landry Truett, Callie Truett and Cambry Truett; special sister-in-law, Marilee Reeves of Lufkin; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be John Ellis, Tony Ellington, Ricky Mills, Rick Hill, Jimmy Stanberry and Scott Morehead. Honorary pallbearers will be the Huntington High School Devilettes: Mallory Brandenburg, Katie Mills, Presley Modisette, Caitlyn Ivy and Destiny Lovett. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
