Jacks put the wood to Woden

Every way one team can beat another - field goals, free throws, rebounds - Diboll beat Woden Friday night.

The Lumberjacks outscored Woden in all four quarters on their way to a convincing 77-53 victory.

J.J. Hayes and Antonio Johnson both recorded double-doubles in the outing. Hayes had 13 points and 11 rebounds; Johnson had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Diboll put up 81 shots - including 10 from outside the 3-point line - compared to the 62 that Woden put up. Diboll hit on 45 percent of their two-point shots and 30 percent of their 3-pointers. They also connected on 10 of 15 free throw attempts.

The Jacks start district play against Rusk Friday night.
