JV strength shows in Livingston win

Things finally came together for the 9th grade Lumberjack basketball team.

They turned in a 57-35 victory over the Livingston Lions. The hard working freshmen put together a complete game, scoring double digits in each quarter. The difference in the game was great defensive play by the Young Jacks as they dominated defensive boards most of the night.

On the offensive end, Dettrick Hamilton was on fire with 28 points with 12 of those coming in the 3rd quarter. When the Livingston defense adjusted to Hamilton, Cyrus Martin and Matt Smith picked up the load with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Every Lumberjack player contributed time and played well.
