VieNell Glover

VieNell Glover, 75, of Lufkin, was born December 5, 1 932, in Mexia, Texas, the daughter of the late Lola Mae (Carpenter) and John Leslie Harrington. She passed away Thursday, December 20, 2007, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Clover was a loving and devoted wjfe, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a clerk.at Texas Foundries for more than 25 years. Mrs. Glover was a member of Fuller Springs Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Paula Clover and Mitchell and Sue Glover, all of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Art Jacinto of Katy

and Angela and James Slaughter of Lufkin; grandchildren, Candice Yarbrough, Ashley Nair, Micky Gjover, Shane Slaughter, Misty Fisher, Jamie Keene, Mason Brandon and Maggie Brandon; 10 greatgrandchildren; brother, Martin Harrington of Lufkin; sister, Johnnie Mae Conner of Lufkin; and a number of other family members.Mrs. Glover was preceded in death by her husband, L. T. Glover, in 1993; and her brother, Bob Harrington.

Pallbearers will be Josh Nair, Curtis Fisher, Shannon Yarbrough, Roy Smith, Art Jacinto and Robert Ellington. Graveside services for Mrs. Clover will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007, in the Whitehouse Cemetery, with Reverend Thomas Windham and Reverend Floyd Slaughter officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Oakley- Metcalf Funeral Home.
