DETCOG board regional 911 update
Emergency system at top of long board's agenda
San Augustine - Deep East Texas Council of Government's (DETCOG) Board Members received a report on proposed updates to the region's 911 system Thursday at their meeting in San Augustine. Diboll schools superintendent Brent Hawkins received a contract extension and a raise at the Diboll school district's monthly meeting Jan. 22. Hawkins received a $5,000 pay boost, bringing his annual salary to $100,000, he said. More...

Wayne Bowdion, 66, of Huntington, was born November 30, 1 941, in Crockett, Texas, the son of the late Frances (Willis) and Eugene Cochran.
