Christine Rose Cunningham

Funeral services for Christine Rose Cunningham, 81, of Zavalla were held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 11:00 am. in the First Baptist Church of ZavaNa, with Reverend Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. Interment followed in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs Cunningham was born April 9, 1926 in Palestine, Texas to Lola Alice (Staisby) and Kendricks Garfield Rose, and died Monday, January 21 2008 at her residence.

Mrs. Cunningiham was a member of the First Baptist Church of Zavalla, and served as church secretary from 1987- 2001. She loved to travel, visit family, shop, and sing in the choir.

Survivors include her husband, John Cunningham of Zavalla; daughter and son-inlaw, Carla Sue and William Ragland of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Patsy Walters of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; grandson, Scott Walters of Georgetown, Texas; granddaughters, Lisa Shurgot of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kirsten Ragland of Conroe, Michelle Burt of Fullerton, California, Corey Snodgrass of Lufkin and Sheryl Walters Butler of Brighton, England; 10 greatgrandchildren; sister-in-law, Pat Rose of Palestine; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and one brother.
