State competition, in Tyler, was easier the second time

Diboll City Council Monday night officially called the May 10 municipal election, which will include a vote on whether Diboll should become a homerule city. Jessie Doyle Burns, 94, of Lufkin, was born October 12, 1913, in Angelina County, Texas, the son of the late Lovisey Jane (Townsend) and Millard Fillmore Burns. Diboll JV and Varsity Baseball teams hosted Trinity Friday night for a scrimmage game. JV play was impressive with a 8-0 shutout. Pitchers in the game where Sergio Pena, Caleb Stanford, Carlos Medina. All three looked good off the hill. Everybody that stepped to the plate reached first base by either by a walk or a base hit.
