Four appointed to the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors

AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry has appointed four to the Angelina and Neches River Authority Board of Directors. The board sets policy, provides oversight and employs a general manager for the Angelina and Neches River Authority, which oversees water resources in 17 counties surrounding the Neches River Basin.

Thomas H. Gann of Lufkin is president of Gann Medford Real Estate. He currently serves on the Texas Real Estate Advisory Committee at Texas A&M University. Gann received a bachelor's and a master's degree in business administration from Baylor University. He replaces Joe Deason of Lufkin for a term to expire Sept. 5, 2013.

David King of Nacogdoches, director of human resources for Foretravel, Inc., Alfred Chavira of Jacksonville, a self employed contractor, and Julie Dowell of Bullard, a retired police officer, also were appointed to the board.
