Rex Hadnot hangs out with Detroit Lion Don Muhlbach and Lufkin Panthers Head Coach John Outlaw during the camp for kids of the Angelina County area that Hadnot put on. The youth of Angelina County came out in droves last Wednesday at Abe Martin Stadium for the first ever Rex Hadnot Sports Camp.
The camp featured Lufkin's own former Panther standout Rex Hadnot and a slew of his friends and teammates from the National Football League. Aside from Hadnot were Brandon Middleton; Detroit Lions, Demorrio Williams; Kansas City Chiefs and Don Muhleback; Detroit Lions.
The day's activities included specialized training and techniques of the different areas in the game of football. From footwork exercises for running backs, route patterns for receivers to good old fashion line work with the tackling dummies.
For all of the local youth that came out it was an extremely successful day and there is no doubt that Hadnot may have an annual success on his hands.
Campers received some great information and perhaps some important inspiration by meeting with one of their own from East Texas.
