      The temperatures are not the only thing heating up around Diboll with the Diboll Lumberjacks hitting the practice fields this week as the 2008 football season looms near. New Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Tom Sheppard got things started Monday afternoon with his first formal introduction to his team.

      The JackBackers are seeking four individuals to fulfill the duties of the chain gang during Friday night home football games. This is an important position and requires a level responsibility and attentiveness to the game each week.

The Diboll JackBackers Need Your Help!
      The JackBackers (Athletic Booster Club) have kicked off the new school year preparing for a great season for our girls & boys athletic programs. Everyone is invited to come out on Mondays @ 6:30 p.m. to help prepare for the upcoming year. The meetings are held weekly at the conference center at the football stadium.

KICKOFF GOLF CLASSIC

      Neches Pines Country Club was the place to be this past Saturday as the 2008 Diboll Athletic Department Kickoff Golf Classic took place. The entire day while quite warm went well and 11 teams came out for the big event supporting the athletic programs right here in Diboll.
