Diboll CC does well at SFA
      The cross country team traveled to Nacogdoches Monday to compete in the SFASU Invitational. The entire team went out and competed very strongly against some good competition. The course was a little tougher with a few more hills compared to last week's.

      Their biting...all of them...so many I can't handle them by myself your welcome to them. Of course I'm talking about the inshore salt water fish. It seems that their all running right now. You like specks they're here. You like reds come get em. Flounder will be around soon. If your kids like to fish well they can catch enough eating sized croaker to last you all year.

Sam Rayburn Fishing Report
      Sam Rayburn is at 159.69ft, the water temperature has been around 82 degrees. The water is clear to around 2 ft. Well the lake came up to about 160.35 and then they dropped it like a rock. The fish didn't know where to run to. We have had a top water bite early and late. We have caught some fish off the edges of the grass on senko's and wacky worms.

Jacks beat Tigers in dramatic fashion
      The Diboll Lumberjacks hit the road last Saturday evening, Sept. 6, for a Hurricane Gustav-delayed second game of the season in Silsbee. And while it was a self-inflicted struggle, the Jacks came away with a 27-24 victory that evened their season record at 1-1.
