Carter Blood Care-Stewart Regional Blood Center asks that all people who donate or attempt to donate blood from now through Nov. 21 bring a canned good or other nonperishable food product to the center with them.

The center will collect the items to donate to a local food bank for distribution at Thanksgiving. The donor center is at 2110 S. John Redditt Drive in Lufkin. Regular donor hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday; and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday. The center also is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. the first and third Saturday of every month.
