Shannon Lackey Emrick

Funeral services for Shannon Lackey Emrick, 50, of Lufkin were held Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008 in the Carroway Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Tony Holder officiating. Graveside services were held in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan.

She was born Aug. 3, 1958 in Lufkin to Elna Ruth (Burks) and John David Lackey Sr., and died Wednesday, Nov. 26, in a local hospital.

She was a lifetime resident of Lufkin and attended Angelina County Junior College and Stephen F. Austin State University. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Eli Emrick; daughter, Avis Emrick; son, John Lackey II; two grandchildren; mother, Elna Lackey; sister, Stacey Johna Lackey; one nephew; and one greatniece.

She was preceded in death by her father.
