Sam Rayburn Fishing Report
      Water Clarity 2-3 feet 11/30/08 Sam Rayburn is at 157.09 ft the water temperature has been around 58 degrees. The water has been murky in places because of the wind. This week has been on and off. The best day was just beautiful with lots of sunshine that warmed things up nicely. By the afternoon we got on a pattern that was hot.

Lady Jacks No. 1 in Texas

      Well the turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie has all been gobbled up and school has come back into session around Diboll. For the Lady Jacks the holiday got started a bit later however as the local ladies traveled up to Hemphill last Tuesday night for a pre-turkey gathering with the Lady Hornets.

Lumberjacks outlast 4A Henderson in 2008-09 home opener

      Finally after a much delayed start to the 2008-09 Diboll Lumberjack Basketball season the hometown boys got rolling this past weekend as the Henderson Lions came calling. The Class 4A squad came into town and they did not leave in a good mood as the Lumberjacks shutdown the squad.

Drake competes at Nike meet
      Amanda Drake ran in the Nike Cross Nationals in The Woodlands on Saturday November 22nd in the Girls Open Race. The race featured runners from AR, LA, OK, TX and MS. She took 9th place with a time of 20:39.8. This was her first time competing in a 5k race and was a very impressive time for a first timer.
