Bertha Lee Willmon

Funeral services for Bertha Lee Hunter Willmon, 87, of Lufkin were held Dec. 18, 2008, in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bob Lewis officiating. Interment followed in the Gann Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Conroe to the late Agnes and Lee Hunter, and died Monday, Dec. 15, in a local hospital.

A former resident of Pasadena, she had resided in Lufkin for 22 years. She worked in the cafeteria at Deer Park ISD for 10 years, and was an excellent cook. She loved to fish and camp, and enjoyed working in her garden, doing crafts, knitting and crocheting. She attended Lufkin First Assemb1y of God Church.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Floyd Willmon of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona and Jim Everett of Katy and Rhonda and Michael Kyser of Pasadena; brothers and sisters-inlaw, Bobby and Doris Hunter of Pasadena, Bill and Emily Hunter of Spring and Joe Ed and Jill Hunter of Mobile, Ala.; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Mac McLennon.
