Stella Naranjo Funeral services for Stella Frances Jennings Naranjo, 82, of Lufkin were held Dec. 20, 2008 in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Mi. Agnew and Lewis Jones officiating, followed by graveside services at Glendale Cemetery. She died Dec. 14, 2008 after a long illness. She was a prominent businesswoman and civic leader throughout her adult life. She is survived by her son, Dr. Jennings Neal Naranjo, his wife, Mary Ann Naranjo, and their children, Mary Katherine Naranjo and Jennings Neal Naranjo II, all of Lufkin. Also surviving is her son-in-jaw, T. Mitchell Gibson of Lufkin, widower of her late daughter, Mary Stella Frances Naranjo-Gibson. Her husband of 49 years, J. Neal Naranjo, preceded her in death. Also preceding her was her father, Harold Cozart Jennings, and mother, Mary Fuller Jennings. Pallbearers included: Mike Capps, Mike Davis, Phil Huber, Kip Miller, Caleb Nelson, Bob Quillin, Davey Swan and Troy Tubbs. Honorary pallbearers included: Carlton Blake, Dr. Doyle Brashear, Eugene Brookshire, Daniel Burgess, Jack Darnell, Martin Lee Evans, Simon "Bubba" Henderson, Kent Henson, Dr. Karl Krohn, Dr. Kyle Krohn, Chester "Bubba" Lowery, Eddie McFarland Hon.
