Jubilee Church report One of the great blessings I receive as Pastor of Jubilee Baptist Church is watching the people in ministry. Last Wednesday evening while taking downthe Christmas decorations I watched as several were taking part in a "Ministry of Encouragement." What is that? That is saying, "Good job," to someone who is learning, working, helping, and doing something. That is taking the time to let someone young, old, or somewhere in between have the time to learn how to do something that could really be done faster and probably better by someone more experienced. We live in a world today that is very discouraging. People feel like a failure, inadequate, and unable because they are told so often that they do not quit measure up to expectations or someone else can do it better. Folks isolate themselves, withdraw, and say, "I can't" because they have heard it so often. At Jubilee Baptist Church there are two words that are spoken often and usually quit loudly. GOOD JOB. This may be said about anything from one of the newly built Sunday School rooms being painted, a new flower arraignment at the altar, the first song played before the congregation, or several folks (Wednesday evening) slowing down the work to let a 3yr old child help put away Christmas decorations. "Good job, came from several watching adults each time another piece was put away. If you are in need of encouragement for daily life, you can find it at Jubilee Baptist Church. If you feel like you can't, our Bible at Jubilee says you can "do all things through Christ Jesus who strengthens you." If you feel like a failure, our Bible at Jubilee says,"well done thou good and faithful servant." If you want to be an encourager to the young, the old, and all in between but do not have a place, we encourage you to visit with us. Jesus encouraged everyone that followed him. He encourages us today through His Word. We encourage each other and that is one thing that makes us a family. Jubilee Baptist Church is located on FM 1818 right at the city limit sign.
