Troy Gene Alsbrooks

Funeral services for Troy Gene Alsbrooks, 77, of Hudson were held Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 1:00 p. m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roy Barbe' officiating. Interment followed in the Narrow Way Cemetery.

Mr. Alsbrooks was born September 12, 1930 in Hudson to Nancy (Harris) and Jim Alsbrooks, and died Thursday, January 3, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Alsbrooks had resided in Hudson for his lifetime and was retired from the Champion Paper Mill Maintenance Department. He loved being outside, gardening and fishing. Troy was a caring husband, father and friend. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Alsbrooks of Hudson; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Tim Brown of Hudson; sons, Randy Alsbrooks of Hudson and Rusty Alsbrooks of Houston; grandchildren, Melinda, Leslee, Luke, and Miranda; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Vera Crawford of Hudson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Randy Alsbrooks, Rusty Alsbrooks, Tim Brown, Milton Martin, Alex Martin, and Ronnie Alsbrooks. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
