Lola Bea Jones

Funeral services for Lola Bea Jones, 60, of Corrigan, were held Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist church of Corrigan with Pastor Willie Barnes officiating. Interment followed in the Kibblefield Cemetery of Marston, Texas.

Lola Bea was born on December 9, 1947 in New Willard to Mack C. and Iola Harris Jones, and died December 26, 2007 at Lufkin Memorial hospital Hospice In The Pines.

She spent her life in Corrigan, attended Dunbar Public School, and was a member of the Baptist church.

Pallbearers were Marco McQueen, Lonnie Johnson Jr., Kenneth Peeples, Eric Smotherman, Frazer Freeman, Aric Ray White, and Mario Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Jones, Ricky Dosia, Dana Ceasar, James Hood Jr., John H. Franklin, Otis Jones, and Joe Johnson.

Survivors include 7 children: Dalphine Freemen, Humble; Gwendolyn Freeman (Ricky), Houston; Sandeluia Jones (Kenneth), Houston; Doshanna Hood (James), Lufkin; Angela jones (Dana), Lufkin; Stephanie Jones (Eric), Lufkin; Curtis jones (McKenzie), Lufkin; 6 sisters: Mary Francie White, Bernice Freeman (Ray), Lucressia Freeman all of Corrigan; Emma Johnson (Lonnie), Moscow; Lorraine Barnes and Juanita Jones, Livingston; 1 brother: John H. Franklin, Livingston; 17 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and other relatives and friends;

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Cordell "Cord" Freeman, and special friend Raymond Freeman.

Funeral Home in charge of arrangements was Charles Mortuary.
