First Assembly of God Church Local Teachers give First Assembly of God Church a passing grade in Spaghetti. First Assembly of God church in Diboll has undertaken the job of feeding every teacher in the Diboll ISD. Last Fall they fed the Junior High and Elementary teachers. Last Thursday Pastor Frazier and ladies from the church fed the teachers at the High school. Mr. Lopez, the High School principal, is pictured receiving the first plate of spaghetti from the Pastor. First Assembly has great respect and appreciation for the long hours and dedication that our teachers have for the children of our city. When asked why the church was doing this, Pastor Frazier said, "This is just a small way to say thanks for the hard work and dedication that our teachers have for their students. Most teachers spend many off duty hours grading papers, making calls to parents and constantly improving themselves to reach our kids. They often spend money from their own pockets to supply and decorate their rooms. We just wanted to say that these efforts have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by First Assembly." The meal consisted of homemade meat sauce spaghetti, fresh salad, bread and homemade peach cobbler. By all accounts, the meal was delicious and enjoyed by over 50 teachers and staff. Deborah Frazier, pastor's wife, is the nurse for the High School and Junior High in Diboll. She also makes a mean peach cobbler. The ladies of the church have caught the vision of this program and help make it a great success. Pictured below are Linda Grisby, Carolyn Morris, Wanda Fuller, Ruby Goins and Annis Williams. First Assembly is located at 100 East Borden and extends an open invitation to come and enjoy some great new friends and practical Biblical preaching. |
