Diboll Tamale Festival

The City of Diboll has scheduled a new - and, hopefully, annual - festival to East Texas. Diboll will host its first Diboll Tamale Festival March 15 and 16. This upcoming event will bring food, fun and family entertainment to the grounds of the Lottie & Arthur Temple Civic Center. The Diboll Tamale Festival will feature tamale cook-offs, craft vendors, live music and lots of outdoor fun for the whole community. Applications are currently being accepted for vendors, cook-off contestants and entertainment.

State 4-H Foundation Scholarship applications are due to the CEO by February 1, 2008 and can be downloaded from the state 4-H website www.texas4- h.tamu.edu Angelina County Youth Development Foundation scholarships are due April 1, 2008

KSWP / KAVX World's Largest Baby Shower is scheduled for January 19 - January 27. Baby items and new mom donations will be collected at Wal- Mart Supercenters in both Lufkin and Nacogdoches to be distributed at local Crisis Pregnancy Centers.
