Barbara Joanna Forster Bozant Funeral services for Barbara Joanna Forster Bozant, 75, of Zavalla were held Friday, January 18, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother William Lee officiating. Interment followed in the Tom Havard Cemetery. Mrs. Bozant was born December 7, 1932 in Centralia, Illinois to the late Edna Viona (Lawyer) and Wilhelm Forster, and died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Bozant had resided in Zavalla for more than 30 years. She served in the US. Marine Corps, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Bozant enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of the Johnson Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Forrest Bozant, Jr. of Zavalla; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Debra Bozant of Memphis, Tennessee; daughters and sonsin-Iaw, Patricia and Steve Smith of Conroe and Cynthia and Bobby Treadway of Zavalla; daughter, Deborah Stanford and Rusty Ernest of Crockett; son and daughter in-law, Thomas and Laura Bozant of Senatobia, Mississippi; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Dunn of Vandalia, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Bobby Treadway, Jerry Gilcrease, Thomas Bozant, Robert Bozant, Bruce Lum and Bob Collier. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Stanford and Lambert Guidry. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Willis, Dr. Halter, Carrie Windham, and the staff of Hospice in the Pines. Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Huntington, directors. |
