Lumberjacks lose to Bulldogs
By Russell Payne Sports Editor

The Diboll Lumberjacks have played a long hard season, and while they have fallen short in District 20 3- A play, they keep plugging away.

Friday night at Lumberjack Gym they welcomed the Central Bulldogs to Diboll for the important district fight, and it was a fight indeed.

The Jacks kept this game close for three periods of play, including a big two point advantage over the Bulldogs going into halftime. The lead did not last however, and eventually the Jacks would surrender the game to the Bulldogs during the fourth period of play.

When it was said and done the Bulldogs were too much and the final score saw Central winning 77 - 60. The loss brings the Lumberjacks to a 1 - 5 district record.

J.J. Hayes led the Lumberjacks with 23 points, Cornelius Polk had 17 while Jacolby Spencer put up 12. Antonio Johnson, Christian Lovelady, Carlos Palomo all put up points in the contest as well.
