Texas Forestry Museum Fun in the Forest After Dark

Lufkin - The Texas Forestry Museum invites all kids' club members to attend Fun in the Forest After Dark on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Participants will learn about nighttime animals and star constellations from Dr. Paul Risk, retired professor from Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture. Learn how to build a campfire and about campfire safety from Texas Forest Service staff and Boy Scout Troop 136. Enjoy a hotdog cookout with chips, dessert, and drinks. Kid's club members always get a special prize for attendance. A special thank you goes to our event sponsors Forestry Supply Service Inc. and Angelina Eye Center, without them this event would not be possible.

Please RSVP by Friday, February 1, 2008 at 936-632-9535. If you are not a current kid's club member you may join for just $5.00, you must be a member to attend this event. The annual membership fee includes 4 newsletters, discounts on company store purchases, personal invites to all Kid's Club and youth Museum events, and fun prizes.

The Texas Forestry Museum, a private non- profit organization, is located at 1905 Atkinson Dr. in Lufkin. We are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, except major holidays.
