Wayne Bowdion

Wayne Bowdion, 66, of Huntington, was born November 30, 1 941, in Crockett, Texas, the son of the late Frances (Willis) and Eugene Cochran. He passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Bowdion was a good husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather. He was exceptionally happy and of good humor all the time. He was a retired home improvement contractor, and was selfemployed for 35 years. He was also a good mechanic. Mr. Bowdion served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era, and was a member of the DAV. He was a member of Ora Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include hs wife, Belinda Bowdion of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Ray Whittemore of Hemphill, sons, Arthur Bowdion, Wayne Bowdion, both of Huntington, Donald Bowdion and Glen Bowdion, both of Wisconsin; daughter, Toni Hasty of Huntington; daughter and son-in- law, Stephanie and Sylvester Rodriguez of Huntington; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Charles Collins of Huntington; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Mr. Bowdion was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law Della Dominey.

Honorary pallbearers were Dusty Whittemore, Stephen Whittemore, Michael Whittemore, Sylvester Rodriguez, Dayton Rodriguez, Arthur Bowdion and Matthew Whittemore.

Graveside services for Mr. Bowdion were held at 11 :00 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2008, in the Attoyac Cemetery in San Augustine County, with Bro. Joe Sawyer officiating.
