Charlie Joe Eckles

Memorial services for Charlie Joe Eckles, 27, of Huntington, were held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday in the Oakley- Metcalf Funeral Home.

Charlie was born July 10, 1980, in Angleton, Texas, and he died Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at his residence.

Charlie operated Charlie's Service, and had done glass installation for more than 5 years. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and being in the out- of-doors. Charlie was a very loyal and loving friend, and had resided in Huntington most of his life.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, James Eckles and Dawn

Cotton of Huntington; brothers, Mike Eckles of Huntington, James Bradley,

Richard Truitt, both of McMinville, Tennessee; sister, Jennifer Buger of

Victoria; stepmother, Belinda Gale Palmer of Tennessee; grandparents,

Forrest Fuller, Marilyn Miller, James Edward Eckles, Sr., Truitt and Shirley

Kinard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jo Eckles, and his grandmother, Anna Jeanette Eckles.
