Robert Miller Holland

Funeral services for Robert Miller Holland, 63, of Huntington were held Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway- Claybar Funeral Home in Huntington with Brother Gene Hazell officiating. Interment followed in the Rocky Springs/Old Center

Cemetery.

Mr. Holland was born March 1, 1944 in Lufkin, Texas to Ollie (Donnell) and Joseph Miller Holland, and died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 in a local hosp]tal.

Mr. Holland was a lifetime resident of Huntington. He served in the U.S. Navy in Squadron 124, aboard the USS Ranger aircraft carrier. Mr. Holland worked as a boilermaker for Petro Chemical Industries in Houston.

He was a member of the Little Flock Baptist Church, where he served as an usher.

Survivors include his wife, Dian Holland of Huntington; son, Mark Miller Holland of Hoiuston; 26 foster children; brother and sister-inlaw, Joe Don and Glenda Holland of Huntington; sisters and brothers-inlaw, Patsy Renee and Lonnie Stanley of Huntington and Nancy Jean and Patrick Roman of College Station; special cousin, Uel Avery Holland of Pollok; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie (Donnell) Holland and Joseph Miller Holland; and nephew, Tres' McMullen.

Pallbearers were Eric Whisenant, Jeremy Dickerson, Myles Holland, Chris Graham, Frank Williams and Jay Oliver.
