Frank K. Tillman Funeral services for Frank K. Tillman, 87, of Houston were held Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10:00 am. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment followed in the Berry Cemetery. Mr. Tiliman was born May 20, 1920 in Shelby County, Texas to Mable (Brittian) and Joseph Elza Tillman, and died Monday, January 21, 2008 in a Houston hospital. Mr. Tiliman resided in Houston most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He participated in the Normandy Invasion and continued in the European Theater. He was employed as an operator for W.W. Bartlett, Inc. in Houston for more than 30 years, and was a Master Mason. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jack Quinn of Houston; granddaughter, Megan Quinn of Houston; sisters, Naomi Scott of Lufkin and Marie Bartlett of Houston; sister-in-law, Nedra Tiliman of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Howard Tillman, Leon Tillman and Joe Tillman; and sisters, Julia Brittain, Betty Woodfin and Gladys Mathews. Pallbearers were Jeff Scott, Joe Scott, Joe Davis, Bo Bartlett, James Woodfin and Johnny Jackson. |
