Diboll Tamale Festival

The City of Diboll has scheduled a new - and, hopefully, annual - festival to East Texas. Diboll will host its first Diboll Tamale Festival March 15 and 16. This upcoming event will bring food, fun and family entertainment to the grounds of the Lottie & Arthur Temple Civic Center. The Diboll Tamale Festival will feature tamale cook-offs, craft vendors, live music and lots of outdoor fun for the whole community. Applications are currently being accepted for vendors, cook-off contestants and entertainment.

Angelina Retired Teachers and School Personnel Association

Angelina County Retired Teachers and School Personnel will be presenting their monthly program. The Third Wednesday on February 20 , 2008, Presenter Gina Donovan on the IMPORTANCE of the Neches River At Stubblefield Learning Center 502 College Drive, Lufkin. Fellowship 2:45 P.M. LEARN TO DANCE

"Womanless" Beauty Contest

Huntington High School will host the 3rd annual Mr/Miss H.H.S. Beauty Pageant on Sat. Feb. 23, 2008. It will be at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Lots of fun and laughs for the entire family. Prices are $5 and refreshments will be sold during intermission. Proceeds benefit the 2008 junior/senior prom.
