Raymond Dickens Raymond Dickens, 88, of Diboll, was born March 27, 1919, in Maud, Texas, the son of the late Sudie (Fowler) and Forrest Dickens. He passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008, in a local hospital. Mr. Dickens was a retired, self-employed electrician. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served his country in the United States Army. Raymond was an avid inventor and musician. Survivors include his wife, Olga Carlow Dickens of Texarkana; son and daughter in-law, Benny and Brenda Dickens of Dibofl; stepson and daughter-inlaw, Marion and Nancy Carlow of Texarkaria; grandson, Bryan Dickens and wife Jamie of Baytown; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Merlene 12 Dickens of Erazoria, Jerry and Sarah Dickens of Maud and Winn and Peggy Dickens of Texarkana; sister, Mrs. Totsie Bettis of Texarkana; great-grandson, Seth Dickens of Baytown; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members. Graveside services for Mr. Dickens were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2008, in the Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown, with Dr. Bobby Dickens officiating and Pastor Bruce Frazier. |
