Ruby Faye Hooks Kimbell

Funeral services for Ruby Faye Hooks Kimbell, 82, of Lufkin were held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 10:00 am. in the Carroway- Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles M. Roberts officiating. Interment followed in the Nat Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.

Mrs. Hooks was born August 31, 1925 En Goosecreek, Texas to the late Bessie V. (Shiny) and David Lee Roberson, and died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at home. A former resident of Vidor, Mrs. Hooks had resided in Lufkin for the past 35 years.

Survivors include her husband, Wright P. Kimbell of Lufkin; daughter and sonin law, Carolyn and Lonnie Smith of Huntington; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Nelda Hooks of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Ronnie Loring of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren and spouses, Tracy Bonds, Chad and Desiree Smith, Ricky and Jennifer Atwood, Michelle and Doug Griffin, Jennifer Fisk, Christopher and Tamara Hooks, Doug and Robin Hooks, Pam Campbell and Denise DeDina; 18 greatgrandchildren; sister, Johnnie Mae Kelly of Channelview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Hooks.

Pallbearers were Wayne Elledge, Mike Love, Christopher Hooks, Warren Elledge, Doug Griffin and Ricky Atwood.
