Lellah Nolden

Funeral services for Lellah Nolden, 87, of Lufkin were held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Barry Chinn, Reverend Eddie Ballard andReverend Jerry Browning officiating. Interment followed in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Nolden was born August 15, 1920 in Lockney, Texas to Sallie Maud (Markham) and Charles Austin McGuyer, and died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in Donna, Texas.

A former resident of Lafayette, Louisiana, Mrs. Nolden had resided in Lufkin for the past 15 years. She was a retired school teacher, and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Frank T. Nolden of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank T., II and Gloria Nolden and Nelson R. and Janice Nolden, all of Highlands; daughter and son-in-law, LeIIah Winnell and Reverend Barry Chinn of Austin; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Charlie Robin Luttrell of Graham; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul McGuyer; and sisters, Nan Kramer, Lemma Lou Mask and Margaret Gennings.

Pallbearers were Nicholas Nolden, Chris Nolden, Aaron Chinn, Frank T. Nolden, Ill, Austin Nolden and Monte Long.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill Athans, Bill Zea and Jeremy Mikell.
