Lufkin's Tatum signs with AC

Diboll JV and Varsity Baseball teams hosted Trinity Friday night for a scrimmage game.

JV play was impressive with a 8-0 shutout. Pitchers in the game where Sergio Pena, Caleb Stanford, Carlos Medina. All three looked good off the hill. Everybody that stepped to the plate reached first base by either by a walk or a base hit.

Justin Havard layed down a great sacrifice bunt to advance a runner to third base. Others that gave a great performance with the bat were Grant Bowman, Sergio Pena, Cole Hodge, Caleb Stanford, Carlos, Medina, and Hever Arambula. With Basketball ending this Tuesday the JV will get some help with a few great players coming out of the gym.

Varstiy looked like they where in mid-season form. The entire team had a good night at the plate. Every player that stepped to the plate was zeroed in on the ball, hitting line shots in the gaps. Hitters that stood out where Chance Johnson , Kyle Prescott, Faustino Salais, Jose Solis, Alek Gaard, and Johnathon Fuentes. Pitchers that saw action in the game where Cutler Ruby, Alek Gaard, Jose Solis, Kyle Prescott, and Jonathon Fuentes which all saw at least one inning of work. Great things are to come with this group so come out and watch the Lumberjacks make a run at the District 20-AAA title.

The Lumberjacks will be in action Monday Feb. 11. The Varsity Lumberjacks will travel to Newton for 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. games. The JV Lumberjacks will be here in Diboll hosting the Lufkin Panthers starting at 4:30 p.m..
