Diboll Jacks lose to Lions at Livingston matches
By Russell Payne Sports Editor

The Lumberjacks hit the road Friday night to take on the Livingston Lions in a big district match-up.

It was an exciting contest that saw the Jacks break out early and take the lead by a score of 2 - 0.

The Lions would eventually take back a goal in the first half of play and make it 2 - 1. That would not be enough to control the boys from Diboll as they jumped out and made the score 3 - 1.

The game was full of action and just before the half the Lions were able to jump out there and grab another score to make it 3 - 2,in favor of the big red.

The second half would not be as pleasant for the Jacks as the Lions were able to kick it into high gear in the final 20 minutes of the game. In that stretch the Lions put up six enormous goals and defeated the Jacks by a final of 8 - 3.

The Jacks were led by the play of Cesar Obregon, who scored two goals and Leonel Flores chipping in one for Diboll.

Diboll also received a big effort from Juan Robles, Miguel Calderon and Fransisco Salas.

The JV boys were also in on Friday at Livingston. Unfortunately for the Jacks they suffered the same fate as their Varsity counterparts, losing by a score of 3 - 2.

Scoring for the Jacks was Jaime Franco, German Enriquez, while Tyler Dubose also had a terrific game.
