Church news Jubilee Church All of us have experienced some dark days in our life. In John 8:12 Jesus says he is the light of the world. I think it is important that he said this right after His ministry to the woman who had been caught in adultery. I think this was probably the darkest day of her life. The Pharisees brought her to Jesus but let her partner in sin get away. She was singled out, in trouble, and all alone. There is little doubt that since she was caught in the very act, and the Pharisees wanted to emphasize this that they surely did not let her put on her best Sabbath go to Temple Meeting dress before dragging her out and taking her to Jesus. This had to be the darkest day of her life. After her heart was repentant, Jesus forgave her and instructed her in a new lifestyle of Godly living. As soon as He gave this instruction He told her & all gathered there how to chase the dark days of your life away. When Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world," He is telling us He will light up the roadway of our daily life so we can see clearly where to step. The potholes of trouble can be avoided. The smooth way can be seen and chosen. If you happen to be in one of the dark days of your life we invite you to Jubilee Baptist Church where the Light of Jesus will chase away that darkness.
