Positive approach essential in fishing and all sports
      When I became old enough to join the BOY SCOUTS I had already learned most of the outdoor activities that scouting teaches the youth of our land. I had a good buddy that loved the outdoors as much as I did and we had been camping out, fishing and hiking for years.

Diboll hosts area powerlifters
Ladies awarded first, third place wins in several classes; young men also place across the board in several different weight categories

      + Last Thursday Diboll High School welcomed powerlifting teams from all over the area for the Diboll Powerlifting Meet. Schools in attendance for the event were Lufkin, Beaumont Ozen, Center, Huntington, Livingston, Shelbyville, Carthage, Willis, Tatum and of course Diboll.

Lumberjack baseball ends tough season

      The year has come to a close for the Diboll Lumberjacks Basketball squad after last weeks season finale in Center. For Head Coach Bryan Kruk and company it was a long and hard season, where the Lumberjacks showed some sign's of progress that will certainly pay dividends next season.

Kidd returns to Mavs in 8-player trade

      EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP)- The Jason Kidd era is over in New Jersey. The New Jersey Nets and Dallas on Tuesday completed a trade sending the All-Star to the Mavericks, who now have one of the NBA's best point guards as they look toward the playoffs. This will be Kidd's second stint with Dallas.
