Scout banquet on for Friday

The East Texas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America will hold their annual Recognition Banquet on Friday, February 29th. This banquet will recognize the 2007 class of Eagle Scouts from the East Texas area as well as scholarship winners and outstanding volunteers. This year's class of Eagle Scouts is made up of 104 scouts that have steadfastly completed the requirements to be awarded this prestigious rank. In addition to the Eagle Scout recognition, the Silver Beaver awards will be announced for outstanding volunteer commitments to the Boy Scouts.

The Banquet will be held beginning at 6:30pm in the Apache Room at the Rogers Student Center on the campus of Tyler Junior College. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased through the Boy Scout Service Center located on Fifth Street across from Tyler Junior College.
