Rebecca (Becca) A. Taylor Steveson

Rebecca (Becca) A. Taylor Steveson, 23, of Lufkin, was born November 12, 1984, in Lufkin, Texas. She passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2008, in Methodist Hospital in Houston following a courageous lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.

Becca was a student and a homemaker, and a lifelong resident of Lufkin. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend. Becca loved animals, and she loved tattoos. She was an avid supporter of other cystic fibrosis patients and their families.

Survivors include her husband, Shain Steveson of Lufkin; mother and stepfather, Liz and Steve Reece of Lufkin; father, Richard Taylor of Lufkin; sister, Jennifer Taylor of Lufkin; niece, Jada Anne Harris Taylor of Lufkin; half-brother, Richard Lee Taylor of Longview; half-sister, Deidra Wright of Longview; father-inlaw and mother-in-law, Ron and Kim Steveson of Lufkin; grandparents, Hubert and Mary Carroll, Earl and Marie Taylor, Elaine (Nonie) Steveson, all of Lufkin; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceding Becca in death were many members of her "cystic fibrosis family, including Oran, Niki, Tysa, Wyman, and Bridgett.

Pallbearers were Steve Reece, Ron Steveson, Jeremy Smith, Jason Steele, Asher West, and William Belcher.

Services for Becca were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Sarver officiating. Private family interment was in the Glendale Cemetery.
