Diboll hits plays in tourney

Hudson High School hosted the Hudson Invitational Golf Tournament last week at the Neches Pines Golf Course here in Diboll.

The Lumberjacks made the extremely short trip next door for the event and were able to muster a fifth place finish out of the 11 teams that participated in the days long event.

Diboll's Eddie Esteves was the low man for the Lumberjacks shooting a strong 85 for the day.

"All of the team members played hard on a very wet and cold day for golf," said Diboll Golf Coach Jeff Stifle.

The rest of the team played well with Steven Brown shooting 93, Brett Nash had a 104, Richard Farley 115, Steven Hopkins 101 and Tyler Warren came in with a 115.
