City Council calls election

Diboll City Council has called a municipal election for May 10. A news article in the Free Press last wek contained errors.

The following city council members' two year terms will expire in: Don Hendrick, Gandy Stubblefield and Fred Mitchell. In addition, Bryan Wilson's appointed seat will also be up for election for a one year term.

As of Monday morning, March 3, Hendrick, Mitchell, Louis Ivey and Gary Mike Smith have signed up to run for the full two year terms. Larry Cook has signed up for the one year term. Tuesday was the deadline to sign up for the one year. The deadline to sign up for the full two year terms is Monday, March 10.
