Mrs. Beulah Barnes

Services for Mrs. Beulah Barnes, 72, of Huntington, were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008, in the Huntington First Baptist Church with Reverend Joel Barnes and Bishop Cleo Hale officiating. Interment followed in the Huntington Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Barnes was born July 14, 1 935, in Trinity County, Texas, and she died Saturday, February 23, 2008, in a Lufkin hospice facility.

Mrs. Barnes was retired from Herider Farms. She was also a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Jesus Chapel True Light Holiness Church of Huntington.

Survivors include her sons, William Thompson of Long Beach, CA, and Dixon Barnes of Lufkin; daughters and sonsin law, Mary and Loyd Fror, Ora and James Jackson, all of Lufkin, Barbara Coutee, Debra Ann and Rodney Barlow, Annetta Williams, all of Huntington, and Carolyn and Danny Lopez of Kerrville; nineteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Collier, Velma Brown, Willie Brown, Barbara Williams, and Christina Jackson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Barnes, on February 20, 2007; grandson, lsiah Barnes; son-in-law, Harold Wayne Coutee, Jr.; and brothers, Charles Robertson, Sr., and Johnny St. Julian; and sister, Sharon Collier.

Pallbearers were Michael Lopez, Keith Malone, Robert Blanton, Horace Moultrie, Clark Robertson, and Billy Hale. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Barnes' grandsons.
