All aboard Reading Railroad

Once again Reading Railroad is coming to the Texas Forestry Museum in Lufkin. Children fifth grade and younger are invited to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Texas Forestry Museum at the 12th annual Reading Railroad from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12.

Children will be entertained with stories read by local community leaders as they venture through indoor and outdoor exhibits that the museum hosts. Reading stations last approximately 15 minutes each, and new readers will be brought in every hour

Guests will have an opportunity to explore the Urban Wildscape Trail on the museum's grounds.Kids will enjoy visits from Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl. The museum's depot will be open and guests are invited to climb aboard the 1908 Baldwin Locomotive and the big red caboose.
