T.L.L. Memorial Library News

At this time the Library is closed for the move to the temporary location at 800 N. Temple. Never fear, we will open again on Monday March 24, 2008 in our new location, albeit with a smaller selection of books. Thankfully, it is all just temporary and before you know it, we will be back in our newly renovated building and open with a full collection. In the mean time enjoy your spring break and come see us when we open again.

The First St. Patrick's Day in America was celebrated in Boston in 1737. It is a celebration of one of the patron saints of Ireland and is usually celebrated on March 17. Celebrations are generally themed around anything Irish and the color green because it's the color of spring. It is believed that on St. Patrick's Day these things will bring you luck: finding a four-leaf clover, wearing green and kissing the Blarney Stone in Ireland.
