Leveta McAdams Funeral services for Leveta McAdams, 74, of Lufkin were held Satuiday, March 8, 2008 at 10:00 am. in the Carroway- Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Randy Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Whitehouse Cemetery. Mrs. McAdams was born December 21, 1933 in Emory, Texas, the daughter of the late Vivian (Hughey) and James Thomas McDonald, and passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in a local hospital. Mrs. McAdams was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She loved her God and enjoyed being with Christian people. As long as her health permitted she loved to fish and go on trips and picnics with her family. Mrs. McAdams was a secretary for many years. Mrs. McAdams married the love of her life November 17, 1962. She and Kirby had three wonderful boys, Edward, Joseph and David. They were married 38 years, six months and one day when he passed away from cancer December 18, 2000. Survivors include her children, Edward McAdams of Austin, Joseph McAdams and David McAdams, both of Lufkin; brother, Kenneth McDonald and wife Carolyn of Bullard; sister, Darlene Landrum of Diboll; and several nieces and nephews, many cousins, and lots of friends. She is also survived by a special friend, Belinda Ivy of Providence Home Health, who took care of her for several years. The family wishes to thank Dr. Jansen Todd for all the years of medical care given to Mrs. McAdams.
