Hollie Bennefield

Graveside services for Hollie Bennefield, 68, of Lufkin were held Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Liberty Hill Cemetery, San Augustine, Texas.

Mr. Bennefield was born April 16, 1939 in Sabine County, Texas to Verner (Gentry) and H. B. Bennefield and died Friday, March 14, 2008 at his residence. He had reside. in Lufkin most of his life.

Mr. Bennefield, a retired electrician, had been employed with Caver Electric, Inc. for 40 years. His love in life was ranching. At the age of 12 he began working at the Patton Auction Barn, starting a Lifetime career at auction barns. Mr. Bennefleld was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Nan and Denman Alvis of Rowlett; brother and sister in-law, Stephen Jay Bird" and Denise Bennefield of Lufkin; nieces and nephews, Denise and Brent Hargrove, Judy and James Roan. Diane and Dan Owensby, Jacob and Carrie Bennefield; a number of great and great great nieces and nephews; a number of aunts and uncles; and a number of friends.

Honorary pallbearers were Brent Hargrove, James Roan, Jacob Bennefield, Brad Hargrove, Kevin Hargrove, Jonathan Roan, and James Alan Roan.
