Guadalupe B. "Lupita" Hernandez

Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, for Guadalupe B. "Lupita" Hernandez, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Diboll, with Father Victor A. Hamon, M.S., celebrant. Interment followed in the Forest Haven Cemetery.

Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Oakley Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Hernandez was born December 11, 1945, in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps Mexico, and passed away Thursday, March 13, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hernandez was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Guillermo and Juliana Castillo, Cesar and Patricia Hernandez and Joe and Julia Hernandez, all of Diboll; son, Jesus Eduardo Hernandez of Diboll; grandchildren, Perla, Anthony, Carlos, Nicholas, Eduardo, Chasidy, Jade, Little Joe, Jacob, Joseph and Katalin; brother, Oscar Barajas of Chicago, Illinois; sister, Socorro Valdez of Diboll; mother-in-law, Socorro Hernandez of M. L. Mexico; sister-in-law and brother in-law, Bertholdo and Emma Donjuan of Diboll; sister-in-law and brother-inlaw, Auturo and Maria Alvarez of Diboll; brother in-law and sister- in-law, Eduardo and Cruz Hernandez of M. L. Mexico.

Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Jose Hernandez; parents, Dionicia (Bautista) and Jesus Barajas; and brother,Cesar Barajas.

Pallbearers were Edward Hernandez, Anthony Segura, Oscar Valdez, Eduardo Hernandez, Jose Alvarez, Nicholas Hernandez and Carlos Segura. Honorary pallbearers were Martin Valdez and Raul Valdez, III.
